The Nominating Committee Chair will begin accepting nominations from candidates seeking office on the NARFE New York State Federation Executive Board on February 1, 2020.  Members of NARFE (in-good-standing), with permanent residence in New York State, may submit nominations or be nominated for an elected position on the State Executive Board (SEB).  Self-nominations are always welcome.

Nominations and Balloting shall be conducted electronically to the maximum extent possible.  Members without internet access or email should seek help from a family member or a trusted friend.​

Available State Executive Board elected positions to include President, First Vice President, Second Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.  


The following incumbents have expressed an interest in running for their respective offices as indicated:

First Vice President, Dennis Gawron

Second Vice President, Peggy Germano

Secretary, Diane Gawron

Treasurer, Arnie Zdrojewski

Nominations from members (other than incumbents) may be made by emailing the Committee Chair at beginning on February 1st.  Submissions will not be accepted after March 14, 2020.​

As a member, you may nominate yourself, or you may submit the name of another member for each position.  If nominating another member, you must indicate whether or not you have contacted the nominee so that we can confirm his or her interest.​

Nominees (other than incumbents) who affirm their interest in standing for election may be requested to submit a formal candidate statement outlining their qualifications.  Instructions for candidate statements shall be furnished by separate correspondence.

The Nominating Committee Chair will review all nominations and confirm the state of interest or intent of each nominee in April 2020. Contested and uncontested positions will be made public, and a link to the official election ballot will be published on our Annual Meeting webpage by April 2020.  Only contested positions shall appear on the official ballot.

Action Required:  Except for incumbents, nominees must notify the Committee Chair by email at no later than March 14, 2020, of their intent to run for office.
