The Fine Print.  Only federal and postal retirees, spouses of retirees, and survivor annuitants are eligible for Dues Withholding.  Active employees, Honorary and Life Members of NARFE do not qualify.  Enrolling in Dues Withholding cannot be done online.  Dues payments are not deductible for federal income tax purposes.  NARFE dues are withheld annually.  Applications may take anywhere from 60 to 90 days or more to process.
