IMPORTANT MESSAGE

The New York State NARFE Federation will be conducting the Annual Conference on Wednesday, May 22, 2024.  It will be held at the Century House, 997 Loudon Road, Latham, NY. The meeting will begin at 9 A.M. and end at 4 P.M.  Lunch will be provided for all attendees.  Breakfast is provided by the hotel beginning at 6:30 A.M.  The Federation will be responsible for a two-night stay at the hotel and mileage and tolls to and from the conference.  On May 21, dinner will also be provided by the Federation at 6:30 P.M. in the hotel restaurant for all attendees. A virtual address from NARFE National President, William Shackelford, will begin the conference.   Our Region 1 VP, Ken Anliker, will be in attendance to provide updated information on the state of our Region.  A number of other staff members from National Office will participate virtually with updates. In addition, the Federation has invited both the Region 1 and NYS Alzheimer’s representatives to address attendees.   The meeting is intended to provide all officers and members, both National and Chapters, with updated information, and the current state of Congress regarding our earned benefits.  Information will also be shared regarding the upcoming FedCon meeting to be held in summer 2024.  Please register for the Conference no later than April 20, 2024 and provide your name, email, how many will be attending and how many nights you will be staying. Dear NY Federation NARFE Members:

FedCon 2024 will be held this summer in St. Louis, MO from August 18th to August 20th. The Federation Board will be determining the amount of financial assistance that we can provide per attendee towards the costs of registration, travel, hotel and meals.

In order to help us make this determination, please email Treasurer George Popp at georgepopp@msn.com no later than April 30, 2024 if you are interested in attending FedCon 2024 and will need some financial assistance that cannot be provided either personally or by your Chapter (if you are a chapter member).
