Bylaw Amendments & Resolutions Committee

The Bylaw Amendments and Resolutions Committee is now accepting proposed amendments to our Bylaws and General Resolutions for consideration.  All submissions must be made electronically.

 

 

 

the NARFE New York State Federation Executive Board.  Nominations for office will open on February 1st and will close on March 14, 2020.  Available elected positions include President, First Vice President, Second Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.

 

Members of NARFE (in-good-standing), with permanent residence in New York State, may submit nominations or be nominated for an elected position on the State Executive Board (SEB).  Self-nominations are always welcome.

 

Incumbents will be canvassed in January 2020, to ascertain their interest in continuing or changing positions.

To submit nominations, send the name or names indicating whether or not you have contacted the nominee so that a member of the nominating committee can follow up with the nominee accordingly to confirm his or her interest.   Self-nominees can indicate their interest.

Nominations may be sent to the Nominating Committee Chair, by email to info@narfenewyork.org to arrive no later than 5:00 p.m., Saturday, March 14, 2020.  Members without internet access or email should seek help from family or a trusted friend.

Nominees who affirm their interest in standing for election will be requested to supply a formal candidate statement outlining their qualifications.  Candidate statements must be limited to 400 words or less and must include the candidate's full name, NARFE membership ID number, complete mailing address, contact information, and the title of the position being sought.  

 

Candidate statements may be sent via regular first class mail or electronically via email, as indicated below.  Statements will be accepted and published as-is.  Candidate statements will be posted on our Annual Meeting webpage by the end of March 2020.

The Nominating Committee Chair will review all nominations and confirm the state of interest or intent of each nominee in April 2020. Contested and uncontested positions will be made public, and a link to the official election ballot will be published on our Annual Meeting webpage by April 2020.


The State Federation Executive Board is composed of five (5) elected officers:
President
First Vice President
Second Vice President
Secretary
Treasurer
